The role of this committee is to monitor the world standards arena, education of WMMA members on the impact of specific standards on their business and watchdog to protect WMMA member interest in both USA and International Markets.
Accredited Standards Committee O1 (ASCO1) — The Accredited Standards Committee O1 (ASCO1) is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop standards for the safe design, installation and use of woodworking and accessory equipment, used in industrial and commercial applications, having a total connected power of 3.7kw (5hp) or greater, or having 3-phase wiring. WMMA serves as the Secretariat for the ASCO1. Click here to learn about the work of the ASCO1.
US Technical Advisory Group (TAG) — WMMA has member representation on the US TAG ISO/TC 39/SC 4 Woodworking Machinery. The TAG is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop and transmit, via ANSI, U.S. positions on activities and ballots of the international technical Committee.
